ICAI CA May 2025 Remaining Exams Postponed Due to Security Concerns

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially postponed the remaining papers of the CA May 2025 exams due to the ongoing tense and uncertain security situation in the country. The announcement was made through a notice on ICAI’s official website — icai.org.
Exams Affected
The postponed exams include the following:
- CA Final
- CA Intermediate
- Post Qualification Course in International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)
These exams were originally scheduled between May 9 and May 14, 2025.
What the Official Notice Says
According to the official notification, this change is a partial modification of ICAI’s earlier announcement dated January 13, 2025. The statement read:
“In view of the tense and security situation in the country, the remaining papers… from 9th India Pakistan Tension Exams May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed. The revised dates will be announced in due course.”
Original Exam Schedule Overview
Here is a brief look at the earlier exam dates:
- CA Inter Group 1: May 3, 5, and 7
- CA Inter Group 2: May 9, 11, and 14
- CA Final Group 1: May 2, 4, and 6
- CA Final Group 2: May 8, 10, and 13
Exam timings:
- Intermediate papers: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Final papers (1 to 5): 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Final paper 6: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Admit Cards and Updates
Admit cards for all scheduled exams had already been released and are available for download on the ICAI website. Students are advised to regularly check icai.org for updates on revised exam dates and other official announcements.
