Bollywood’s evergreen star Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are making headlines once again—this time over divorce rumors that refuse to fade away.
Divorce Petition Filed?
According to reports, Sunita has approached the Bandra Family Court under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), and (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion as reasons. Court records suggest Govinda was served a notice in May 2025, after which the couple began attending court-ordered counseling sessions in June.
Close Friend Denies Rumors
A close friend of Govinda dismissed speculation, saying:
“They have been married for 38 years. Every couple has arguments—even fights. But Govinda always comes back home. Sunita is the anchor of his life, and a permanent separation is unlikely.”
Sunita’s Strong Denial Earlier
Back in February 2025, when similar news broke, Sunita herself had slammed the divorce buzz, saying:
“The day such news becomes fact—or when Govinda and I speak about it—people will know. Until then, don’t believe rumors. Govinda cannot live without me, and I cannot live without him.”
Co-Star Link-Up Sparks Talk
Adding fuel to the fire, gossip mills hinted at Govinda’s “closeness” to a 30-year-old Marathi co-star. However, Govinda clarified, telling ETimes:
“There are only business talks going on… I am in the process of starting my films.”
Govinda Unbothered in Public
Despite the chatter, Govinda was spotted recently at the airport, smiling, greeting fans, and blowing kisses to paparazzi—showing no visible signs of stress.
